We have had our current gallery wall since we moved into our first home in Verona on Shuman Street. It looked great in our living room there for years and when we built on the farm I knew I wanted to keep our same layout but this time create the gallery up the stairs for a different feel.
We recently gave our gallery stairs a fresh update and decided to go with the oversized and weighted bottom matte style that I’ve been drawn to and have actually added a couple similar frames throughout the main floor the last few years. I used Framed and Matted for the gallery stairs and love them!
There are five total frames now up the stairs with these fun gallery lights overhead (so easy they are battery operated and look great!) We love the new look and thought it would only be right to switch out the ‘boob’ light as they are affectionately called, at the bottom of the stairs, with a new linen drum shade fixture that ties in nicely. I love the feel at night of just the gallery lights on – gives a great ambience to the house.
