To be honest I have never made gingerbread cookies before let alone from scratch. We used to get these pre-made ones that were so good and were already cut out even, you just had to pop them in the oven. But one morning I randomly came across a woman sharing “the easiest and best gingerbread cookies ever” and I thought I’m going to try it! She didn’t lie! Not only were they easy – our family still says they are the best thing I ever made and the best cookies they’ve ever had. Even the icing was easy and so delicious!!
