We had recently finished painting a pantry door in the kitchen and had leftover black paint. Tricorn Black by Sherwin-Williams to be exact. Joe had suggested we paint our railings and side boards on our staircase with it. I love that he is embracing the home renovations projects with me and we have both enjoyed sprucing up our farmhouse together, but this felt like a really bold move and one I was hesitant on. Well, I will forever say – he was right. I absolutely love the way the black staircase turned out. I also absolutely love that Reagan helped me paint it one night and we called Joe during milking to say it was looking good! It has a such a polished look now and after a year ago when we decided to remove the glass and spray paint our Pottery Barn lantern in our entryway–it is so much more cohesive with the whole entryway look!
