The T’s were added to the covered posts. It makes the basement different, and gives it that farmhouse feel as it imitates the T from the structure of a barn. We think it’s a great addition to “our country home” as the blog states…there are so many crisp white paint color elements to our home already giving it a traditional country farmhouse feel – adding this warm feature of dark stained wood posts and the ceiling beam is a fun contrast to the white paint and yet cohesive to our dark hardwood floors upstairs. It will all pull together with the finished painted stairs too!
